Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all of our Fathers, Grandfathers, Great Grandfathers and all others who purposefully play the role of a father. We need you! The whole world needs you to be dedicated to your role as a loving, encouraging, teaching and connected presence. This is a special role that only you can fill. It’s only natural that as you successfully fill the role in an engaged and healthy way, that your children will honor you and celebrate your presence in their life.

I am grateful that I have a Dad that takes the role of Father seriously. I am also aware that because he did and continues to take it seriously that I choose to do the same. Happy Father’s Day, Dad―I love you!

A Little Humor:

“If the new American father feels bewildered and even defeated, let him take comfort from the fact that whatever he does in any fathering situation has a fifty percent chance of being right.” — Bill Cosby

A company held a contest for kids with the theme: “The nicest thing My Father Ever Did for Me.” One kid answered “He married my mother.”
“I have always had the feeling I could do anything and my dad told me I could. I was in college before I found out he might be wrong.” – Ann Richard
“The place of the father in the modern suburban family is a very small one, particularly if he plays golf.”- Bertrand Russell (Ouch!)
